"Petting a dog lowers your blood pressure." ~ my momma
I totally agree with her.
Meet Your Artist
I’m Julie, creator of all things Julie Cordero Photography.
I’m animal obsessed and a lover of the world of printed imagery of those animals. I have a serious obsession with meeting new dogs and booping pony noses and creating ART!
People often ask me if I’ll photograph X species of animal (fill in the blank with something like a snake or tarantula or hippo). My answer is always a resounding ‘YES!’ That lack of fear and serious love of critters is likely a lot of what makes me a great animal photographer.
When I’m not laughing with my clients and their dogs or horses as I climb trees or roll in mud for the perfect shot, I'm likely riding my leased paint mare, Penny; fundraising for various non-profits whose work I believe in; gardening; and even growing trees-- but family trees, that is. I am an avid genealogist and have traced my family's heritage for years. It is my joy to help others research their history as well. Yes, I know-- I have a strange combo of interests!
I get to live this blessed life with my three very spoiled dogs, an amazing husband, and two young adults whom I adore.
I believe in beauty, artistry, and the uncanny ability of the creatures we love to make us laugh and turn our hearts inside out!
It takes an artistic eye and a true love of animals to capture those fleeting moments. I want to create the perfect photograph and printed art of your not-always-perfect pet. A moment that will bring you joy forever.
At Julie Cordero Photography, I strive to become friends with my customers, all while having fun creating great images that freeze in time beautiful memories. I am located in Lubbock, Texas but will happily travel to all parts of West Texas and beyond.
GIVING BACK: As well, I share the love with programs that help better the lives of animals in my area. A percentage of my time is donated to local animal shelters or rescues with free photo sessions or financial donations are made. Great images increase the chance of a homeless animal getting adopted and finding their furr-ever home.
